"Dialogue is nice, but doesn't bring peace"
An interview with Bernard Sabella, one of East Jerusalem's prominent Christian Palestinians, about externally sponsored interfaith meetings and dialogue as a means to achieve Israeli-Palestinian peace.
"I like to take part in the meetings, it’s fun. I’m not opposed to meeting Israelis, and I like to discuss. You see other places, you meet interesting people. You learn about what’s going on. I’m interested to learn more about other religions, about the Israeli society. But this is not how you make peace. The reality is different. It is the experience after these meetings that matters."
