In recent years, extreme inequality and increasing precarity have given rise to new social movements and left populism in the US, but also to backlash politics and neofascism. We discussed the rise of the far right and effective strategies for how the left can defend democratic institutions and marginalized people, while asserting an own proactive vision for a just society for all.

  • Winnie Wong is the co-founder of the national grassroots group, People for Bernie
  • Claire Sandberg was the Distributed Organizing Director on the Bernie Sanders Campaign.

Both are currently advising the Women's Marches.
