The film "My favourite job" depicts activists who evacuated people from the city of Mariupol, besieged by Russian troops, to Zaporizhzhya in their cars in the spring of 2022. The director of the film, Sashko Protyah, comes from Mariupol himself and was active there for a long time in the NGO Freefilmers, which worked with films as a means of political art and cooperated with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.
In the film discussion, we also want to talk with Sashko Protyah about the situation of artists in Ukraine and the work of volunteers, as well as the situation in the areas near the front. He himself has been bringing humanitarian aid to the people in the region since the beginning of the war and his flight from Mariupol.
The film will be shown in the original language with English subtitles. The discussion with the director will be in English.
