In Sudan hat sich seit 2019 die Situation deutlich verändert. Es stimmt, dass der Massenaufstand 2018 das islamistisch-militärische Regime von Omar al-Bashir gestürzt hat. In der Folge kam es jedoch zu einem instabilen Arrangement zwischen den militärischen und den zivilen politischen Kräften. Im Oktober 2021 folgte ein weiterer Militärputsch. Organisationen riefen zum massenhaften zivilen Ungehorsam auf. Die Kampagne wurde trotz der systematischen Einschüchterung durch das Militär fortgesetzt. Die Widerstandskomitees in den Stadtvierteln, aber auch die Gewerkschaften und andere soziale Organisationen waren von entscheidender Bedeutung für die Fähigkeit, sich gegen den Putsch zu organisieren. Die sudanesische Revolution geht also weiter.

Between Transit, Migration and Revolution: On the current situation in Sudan and the possibilities of transnational solidarity

Since 2019, the situation in Sudan has changed significantly. It is true that the 2018 mass uprising toppled the Islamist-military regime of Omar al-Bashir. However, an unstable arrangement between the military and civilian political forces subsequently emerged. In October 2021, another military coup occurred. Civilian organizations called for mass civil disobedience. The campaign has endured despite the military's systematic intimidation. Resistance committees in the neighborhoods, were crucial to the ability to organize against the coup, but so were trade union and other social organizations. So the Sudanese revolution continues.
