Die Ausstellung "A Chronology of Street Dance" lädt dazu ein, Ursprünge von Street Dance – vom Cakewalk bis Hip-Hop – kennenzulernen und historische Entwicklungen sichtbar zu machen.
Die Ausstellung ist Teil des TAKING SPACE WEEKEND und kann vom 21.–26. Mai in der Initiative Hüttenstraße besucht werden.

How can dance communities, cultural workers and institutions make street dance more visible, redistribute resources more fairly and strengthen the recognition of communities of origin? This conversation invites participants to exchange perspectives, experiences and ideas on how to make dance spaces, education, performances and cultural structures more inclusive, diverse and accessible.

How did street dance cultures emerge? Which communities, historical contexts and forms of resistance shaped today’s dance practices?
The exhibition "A Chronology of Street Dance" invites visitors to explore the origins of street dance — from Cakewalk to Hip-Hop — and to discover the historical developments behind contemporary dance cultures.
The exhibition is part of TAKING SPACE WEEKEND and can be visited from May 21st–26th at Initiative Hüttenstraße.
