In times of rising authoritarianism, in which migration is systematically used as a scapegoat, the solidarity migration summit sets a collective sign of another society: a society of the many that is based on solidarity, justice, and democratic participation.
Around 40 representatives of migrant, Jewish, anti-racist, anti-colonial, and activist perspectives step on the stage of Silent Green in Berlin-Wedding. They read personal, political, and poetic statements — condensed voices from various struggles against racism, exclusion, and disenfranchisement. Together they formulate a public invitation to civil society: for a solidary society of migration that already exists but is threatened — and which must be defended and further shaped together.
The evening is the highlight of a two-day process of intensive discussions under activists, scientists, cultural workers, migrant self -organizations and anti-racist initiatives. The focus is on the question: What are our common grounds — beyond all differences?
The evening is accompanied by Microphone Mafia. Afterwards we invite you to drinks, conversations and music from DJ Ipek Ipekçioğlu to end the evening together.
