Von der Tasse bis zum Teebusch - Transparenz im Teehandel ohne bitteren Nachgeschmack erfordert einen fairen Umgang mit Mensch und Natur. Hamburg, die Teehauptstadt Europas, ist Hauptumschlagsplatz für in Europa gehandelte Tees, von denen fast ein Drittel aus Indien bezogen wird.
In die Lieferkette sind verschiedenste Akteur*innen involviert, die aber in sehr unterschiedlichem Ausmaß profitieren. Die Löhne der Teepflücker*innen machen teilweise weniger als ein Prozent am Verkaufspreis aus und sind an tägliche Erntevorgaben geknüpft. Die Arbeitsbedingungen sind häufig prekär, es mangelt an Arbeitsschutz und sozialer Sicherung.
Wir wollen mit Stakeholdern entlang der Lieferkette diskutieren, wer welchen Beitrag leisten kann, um einen fairen Teehandel zu ermöglichen.

Die Veranstaltung findet auf Deutsch und Englisch statt und wird simultan übersetzt.
Eine Veranstaltung in Kooperation mit der Teekampagne und dem Zentrum für Internationalen Dialog und Zusammenarbeit der Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung. Gefördert aus Mitteln der Landeszentrale für politische Bildung Hamburg.

▸Die Vortrag findet im digitalen Raum statt. Wir bitten deshalb um Anmeldung per E-Mail über anmeldung@rls-hamburg.de. Bitte Namen und Wohnort angeben. Deine Anmeldung wird registriert. Die Zugangsdaten für die Veranstaltung verschicken wir am Tage der Veranstaltung an alle Angemeldeten per E-Mail

▸ Für die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung wird ein Computer, Tablet oder Smartphone mit Internetanschluss und Lautsprecher benötigt. Fragen und Anmerkungen können auch über die Chat-Funktion eingebracht werden und sind herzlich willkommen.

▸  Zur Durchführung nutzen wir das Programm ZOOM. Für die Verwendung der Software ZOOM übernimmt die Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung keine Haftung. Die geltenden Datenschutzrichtlinien können hier eingesehen werden.

▸ Die Veranstaltung ist bereits 10 Minuten vor Beginn geöffnet. Nutzt diese Zeit gerne, um euch entspannt einzuloggen und euch ein wenig mit dem Programm vertraut zu machen.

From the cup to the tea bush – transparency in the tea trade

Enjoying tea without bitter aftertaste requires a fair deal with people and nature. Hamburg, the tea capital of Europe, is the main hub for tea traded in Europe, of which almost a third is sourced from India.

The supply chain involves a wide range of actors, who benefit to very different degrees. The wages of the tea pickers make up less than one percent of the selling price and they are also linked to daily harvest specifications. Working conditions are often precarious and there is a lack of occupational safety and social security.

Together with stakeholders along the supply chain we discuss who can make which contrubution in order to enable fair tea trade.

▸ the event takes place online. Therefore, we ask you to register by e-mail at anmeldung@rls-hamburg.de. Please indicate your name and place of residence. Your registration will be processed. The access data for the event will be sent to all registrated participants by e-mail on the day of the event.
