Katja Hermann is a scholar of Middle Eastern studies. She earned her doctorate at the Free University of Berlin, focusing on issues related to Palestinian civil society. Since 2012 she has held various positions at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, first at the Foundation’s office in Palestine and subsequently in the West Asia Department at the Berlin headquarters. Since 2026, she has once again been heading the RLS office in Ramallah, with responsibility for Palestine and Jordan.
