Katja Hermann is an Islamic scholar and mediator. She wrote her doctoral thesis on Palestinian civil society in Israel. Her current work focuses on political, social and civil society developments in West Asia. From 2012 to 2016, she headed the office in Ramallah. Since 2016, she has been head of the Asia department and then the West Asia department. She is co-responsible for the RLS dossiers "West Asia" and "Against the Logic of Violence".
