Tanja Tabbara studied Law and Middle Eastern Studies in Freiburg, Cairo and Berlin. She has been with the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (RLS) since 2012, first as Senior Advisor for North Africa and from 2015 to 2021 as Head of the Africa Unit. From 2022 until 2024 she was Head of the RLS Regional Office in Beirut, Lebanon. Since September 2024 she is back in Berlin as Senior Advisor for socio-ecological transformation in Africa and Westasia.
