Societies dominated by the capitalist mode of production are in constant change. The state of struggle in a society is conditioned by its inherent inequality. Without strong social movements and class struggles, inequality takes on dramatic proportions.
It is thus crucial to look at the transformations and crises of capitalist development, their history and present, or the related shifts in the balance of power. The Rosa Luxemburg Foundation concentrates on to the development of new and old left-wing and emancipative forces. As an institution of political education, the foundation also advances strategic perspectives that focus on strengthening left-wing opposition to prevailing inequality and socialization, and on bringing together different movements and organizations. These are supported by educational formats that aim to aid the development of such movements and organizations. We fight against radical right-wing and reactionary forces, develop counter-arguments, and promote emancipatory and uniting perspectives.
