Societies dominated by the capitalist mode of production are in constant change. The state of social struggles is conditioned by the inherent inequality. Without strong social movements and class struggles, inequality takes on dramatic proportions. Thus it is crucial to look at the transformations and crises of capitalist development, their history and the present or the related shifts in the balance of power. The Stiftung concentrates on to the development of new and old left and emancipative forces. As an institution of political education, the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung also advances strategic perspectives that focus on strengthening left-wing opposition to prevailing inequality and socialization, and on bringing together different movements and organizations. These are supported by educational formats that aim to aid development of such movements and organizations. As a political infrastructure we also assist a development of social struggles, social movements and leftist parties. We fight against radical right-wing and reactionary forces, develop counter-arguments, promote emancipatory and uniting perspectives.
