Emil Barth

– Social Democratic politician; joined the USPD in 1917; among the leaders of the Revolutionary Shop Stewards in Berlin in 1918; represented the Stewards in the Executive Council of the Workers’ and Soldiers’ Councils of Greater Berlin, alongside Ernst Däumig, Paul Eckert, Georg Ledebour, Richard Müller, Paul Neuendorf, and Paul Wegmann, from 11 November 1918 on; member of the Council of the People’s Deputies, alongside Friedrich Ebert, Philipp Scheidemann, Otto Landsberg (all SPD) and Hugo Haase as well as Wilhelm Dittmann (both USPD), renewed affiliation to the SPD in 1922.
