Boris Kanzleiter is a historian. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the student protests of 1968 in Yugoslavia. His current work focuses on the history and present of the left in South-East Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean. From 2009 to 2016, he headed the office in Belgrade. From 2016 to 2023 he was head of the foreign department. Since 2024 he has headed the office in Athens. From 2016 to 2023, he was a qua function member of the International Commission of DIE LINKE.
