Dr Achim Kessler is a historian and literary scholar. As a member of the Bundestag (2017-2021), his focus was on health policy and development cooperation. Since 2022, he has headed the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung's regional office in Warsaw, which is responsible for Poland as well as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
