Jan Urhahn studied geography and politics and then worked for Oxfam Germany and the INKOTA network in Berlin. He joined the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung in 2019 as head of the global food sovereignty programme in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is mainly concerned with issues such as the rights of agricultural workers, the impact of highly hazardous pesticides on human health and the environment, food price regulation and seed issues, as well as green revolution approaches compared to viable alternatives such as agroecology.
